This heavy duty asphalt pavement assembly consists of five inches of thick bituminous paving applied over a six-inch Class 2 aggregate base with a minimum compaction of ninety-five percent. Beneath the aggregate base lies a fourteen-inch granular borrow base, also compacted to a minimum of ninety-five percent. The entire buildup is supported on a prepared subgrade requiring a minimum compaction of ninety-five percent.
