A utility door jamb condition transitions from a concrete masonry unit block wall to a grout-filled hollow metal door frame. A seven-eighths-inch hat channel spaced at twelve inches on center, doubled at the corner, is installed over half-inch treated plywood and a sheet water barrier. Cement fiber lap siding terminates at the frame with a three-eighths-inch joint filled with a backer rod and sealant.
