A soil stockpile is covered with ten mil plastic sheeting with nylon reinforcement or a temporary cover geosynthetic fabric. The cover is held in place by anchor restrainers consisting of gravel-filled bags, with stakes permitted at the contractor's option. A linear sediment barrier utilizing a secured fiber roll or similar product is placed along the perimeter of the stockpile base. Notes require containment and covering when not active, secure covering overnight and during rain events, prevention of material leaving the site, and maintenance regarding sunlight breakdown and wind conditions, keeping the stockpile at least fifty feet away from storm drains.
