Drop inlet sediment protection for construction site stormwater management features a silt fence surrounding a drain inlet with a sediment trap ranging from twelve to twenty-four inches deep, positioned four feet away from the fence. A rock filter is installed at concentrated flow points, and slopes are graded at one-to-one to direct sheet flow. Sediment must be removed before reaching one-third full.
