A cast-in-place concrete curb features a continuous number four reinforcing bar running longitudinally near the top. The top outside edge has a one-half inch typical radius, and the curb extends six inches vertically above the adjacent paving section. The curb bears on a four-inch vertical extension over a compacted base rock layer and scarified and compacted subgrade per the project geotechnical report. Weep holes are placed on all curbs and curb and gutter where landscaping slopes toward the curb, spaced at ten feet on center or at each score line.
