A preformed compression seal is installed within a construction joint in Portland cement concrete pavement with the top of the seal positioned six below the pavement surface. The joint faces are lubricated as specified, and the joint is centered on the initial sawcut at a width ranging from six to thirteen per manufacturer specifications.
