An all-weather building perimeter pad and laydown area consists of prepared subgrade compacted to ninety-five percent maximum density over the upper twelve inches. A layer of Mirafi 500X geotextile separation fabric, or approved equal, is placed directly over the compacted subgrade. An eight-inch thick layer of permeable ballast conforming to WSDOT 9-03.9(2) is installed above the geotextile, extending a minimum of twelve inches beyond the pavement edge.
