A six-foot or three-foot long precast concrete bumper is reinforced with two number three bars and set in approved mastic. The bumper is secured to the asphalt concrete over aggregate base paving with two three-eighths-inch diameter galvanized steel rods that are one foot long. These rods are set nine feet apart at each end for a six-foot bumper and eight inches apart for a three-foot bumper.
