This installation utilizes a twelve-inch corrugated polyethylene pipe secured along the slope with pipe anchors spaced at a maximum of ten feet. The pipe extends from an end section at the top of the slope, with a temporary berm extended twelve inches over the top of the pipe, down to a sediment trap featuring six-inch D50 rip-rap at the toe of the slope. Soil surfaces and berms at the entrance to the pipe end section must be compacted to prevent undermining and erosion. All drain connections require water-tight fittings, and temporary slope drains must be maintained until permanent stabilization or storm drain facilities are established.
NOTES: 1. COMPACT SOIL SURFACE AND BERMS AT ENTRANCE TO PIPE END SECTION TO PREVENT UNDERMINING OF PIPE AND EROSION OF SLOPE. REPAIR ANY EROSION IMMEDIATELY. 2. ANCHOR PIPE EVERY 10' TO PREVENT MOVEMENT OF PIPE AND FAILURE OF DRAIN IN STORM EVENT. 3. USE WATER-TIGHT FITTINGS AT ALL DRAIN CONNECTIONS 4. MAINTAIN PROPERLY FUNCTIONING SLOPE DRAINS UNTIL SLOPES HAVE BEEN PERMANENTLY STABILIZED, OR UNTIL PERMANENT SURFACE IMPROVEMENTS AND STORM DRAIN FACILITIES REPLACE THE NEED FOR TEMPORARY SLOPE DRAINS. 5.
