An earth interceptor swale profile features a trapezoidal or V-shaped drainage channel cut into the subgrade. The channel bottom has a depth of twelve inches minimum, with a longitudinal slope sized per plan. Side slopes are graded at a ratio of three horizontal to one vertical on each side.
