Storm drain inlet protection measures are detailed for both sump and grade conditions using arrangements of sandbags and rock sacks. The inlet features either a filter fabric or basket positioned below the grate to capture sediment. Sandbags are stacked one bag high at the spillway and two bags high along the sides to direct non-storm water flow. Rock sacks or sandbags are placed along the edge of pavement to manage runoff velocity. General notes specify that these temporary measures are intended for short-term use, require proper maintenance and cleanup, and must be removed after adjacent construction operations are completed.
