An integral concrete sidewalk with a light broomed finish features a four-inch thickness over a four-inch compacted crushed surfacing top course and compacted subgrade. The twelve-inch deep integral curb includes a thickened edge with a six-inch base extension reinforced by number four rebar at top and bottom. One-half-inch deep control joints are installed with full-depth three-eighths-inch thick expansion joints every other joint. One-half-inch tooled edges are provided at typical transitions to adjacent pavement.
