A geotextile fabric filter insert is suspended inside a catch basin with a 36-inch by 48-inch adapter skirt resting on the basin rim. The inner fabric pocket collects sediment accumulation while allowing filtered water to pass through the sides. An overflow bypass at the top directs excess peak storm volumes directly into the basin. A retrieval strap is attached near the rim for easy removal and maintenance of the filter insert.
