Aluminum framing members for the AR450 series curtain wall system are joined at a splice connection separated by a one-eighth inch joint seal applied all around. The connection incorporates a Dow Corning 123 silicone lap sheet positioned inside the hollow extrusion profiles designated as HC420 for the head and SC422 for the sill. Splice dimensions are indicated to maintain alignment and thermal movement tolerances across the joint.
