A twenty-four-inch square catch basin constructed from quarter-inch steel plate with an interior hinged cover and a trap including a cleanout, coated inside and out with asphaltum paint. The basin is set in a thirty-thousand PSI concrete collar with a six-inch depth and six-inch overhang, surrounded by asphaltic concrete paving per plan. A twenty-eight-square heavy-duty traffic grate with a rim per plan sits flush at the surface, reinforced with a single number-four rebar having a six-inch overlap. A pipe of sized per plan connects to the side of the basin via forty-five-degree elbows with an invert elevation per plan, maintaining a twelve-inch minimum clearance from top of grate to the hood.
