The indoor and outdoor domestic water copper service riser details illustrate the transition of the water service piping through the building wall and below grade, incorporating corrosion protection measures. An insulating union is installed on the riser above grade, with a bronze ground clamp attached below it connected to a prepackaged magnesium anode via a number ten American Wire Gauge THHN black anode lead cable. The buried portion of the copper pipe below grade is encased in polyethylene sleeving per project specifications. The magnesium anode is positioned in the earth below the frost line relative to the riser penetration.
