Bioretention planter section with a 50-inch overall depth, featuring an 18-inch biotreatment soil mix layer complying with stormwater technical guidance, topped with 3 inches of mulch and a variable ponding depth with a 2-inch freeboard. The drainage system incorporates a 6-inch PVC riser with a 12-inch atrium grate and a 12-inch by 6-inch low profile adapter, surrounded by 12 to 15 inches of Class II permeable rock at the base. A 4-inch perforated subdrain slopes at a minimum of 0.5 percent toward the outlet, working in conjunction with a storm drain bubble-up structure connected via storm drain inlet and outlet piping. Waterproofing is specified between the planter and the adjacent building wall, with a minimum 12-inch wide band of 2-inch to 4-inch cobble surrounding the overflow inlets.
