A flush concrete curb rests on a prepared subgrade and aggregate base adjacent to asphalt concrete pavement. The rectangular curb extends twelve inches below grade with a total height of fifteen inches, featuring embedded reinforcing or tie bars per note references. A Class II aggregate base layer extends beneath both the curb and the asphalt pavement section, sitting atop a scarified and recompacted subgrade with a four-inch minimum depth. The adjacent AC pavement slopes away from the curb at a variable grade.
