A monolithic 4500 PSI concrete highback curb and gutter rests on an untreated six-inch minimum base course. The total width of the assembly measures twenty-four inches, with a six-inch wide curb rising twelve inches high and a sloping gutter profile featuring a three-quarter-inch radius and a two-inch vertical drop. Contraction joints are positioned at the bottom of the section with control joints required at ten-foot intervals. The assembly ties into adjacent pavement as specified per APWA standard plan number two hundred five type E curb.
