This assembly consists of a five-foot diameter precast concrete manhole set on a nine-inch minimum concrete base resting on firm undisturbed soil or graded rock. The structure includes shaped channels in the concrete floor matching the flow line of the incoming and outgoing PVC pipes, which connect via PVC manhole adapters and are grouted in place. Rubber boot joints with stainless steel connection bands are permitted as acceptable substitutes. Precast concrete sections feature grouted joints using grout, Ramneck, or Kent Seal. Grade rings up to twelve inches maximum are grouted in place beneath a thirty-inch manhole ring and cover. Polypropylene-covered steel steps are spaced uniformly at twelve inches maximum for interior access.
