A Type C compression seal joint occurs at transverse and longitudinal construction joints in continuously reinforced concrete pavement. A preformed compression seal is installed within a saw-cut joint of specified depth in the pavement surface. Dimensions indicate a nominal seal width ranging up to 1/2 inch with specific edge offsets.
