A cast-in-place concrete curb measuring six inches wide is set flush with adjacent finished surfaces. Two longitudinal reinforcing steel bars are embedded vertically within the curb, maintaining a three-inch minimum typical clearance from the subgrade. The underlying granular base layer varies in thickness, with a two-inch minimum dimension beneath the adjacent surfacing. Subbase preparation and compacted aggregate extend below the curb structure.
