A 3/8-inch by 3-inch by 3-inch plate is welded to the web of the supporting beam with 3/16-inch fillet welds. The supported member connects to the shear tab using one 3/4-inch diameter ASTM A325 bolt. A 1/2-inch minimum radius notch is provided at the top corner of the supported member.
