A four-inch Portland cement concrete slab with a thickened edge rests on four inches of Class 2 aggregate base compacted to ninety-five percent relative compaction over compacted subgrade. The slab is reinforced with number three rebar at twenty-four inches on center each way, supplemented by a continuous number four rebar at the thickened edge. The outside edge features a one-half-inch radius easing, bounded by asphalt concrete paving and concrete shoulders where applicable.
