A spall repair at an existing Portland cement concrete pavement joint requires a saw cut with a two-inch minimum depth along the chipped surface where practical. Existing joint sealant material is removed along the entire joint prior to repair. Spall repair material designated as P-607 is placed within the prepared opening, maintaining a three-inch minimum dimension from the joint edge and preventing bond to the adjoining slab.
