An in-line valve pipe detail outlines the required restrained joint lengths on both sides of the valve. Pipe diameters of eight, ten, twelve, and eighteen inches correspond to restrained lengths of 119 feet, 143 feet, 168 feet, and 198 feet respectively. All joints within the specified length must be restrained per city specifications. Pipes on either side of the bend should be full lengths of pipe.
