A four-inch or six-inch lateral pipe connects to the sewer main using a forty-five-degree wye and forty-five-degree bend. The vertical cleanout riser terminates at the ground surface with an eight-inch cast iron frame and cover marked 'SEwer', positioned at least five inches below the cover. Pipe bedding material extends six inches under and around the pipe, maintaining twelve inches of cover over the pipe. Services are constructed from PVC and extend from the main line to ten feet inside property lines with a minimum grade of two percent.
