The stabilized construction entrance consists of a gravel pad measuring fifty feet minimum in length and twelve feet minimum in width. The pad is surfaced with three to six inch rock, nine inches thick, placed over a one-half to three-quarter inch filter layer. A filter fabric is installed below the gravel layer to prevent subgrade migration. Runoff is directed via a swale to a sedimentation basin. A required sign is placed adjacent to the entrance directing all construction traffic to enter and exit at this designated location.
