Concrete pavers are bedded in a three-quarter-inch latex mortar setting bed with a bond coat and latex mortar joints over a four-inch minimum Class II concrete slab. The concrete slab is reinforced with number four bars at sixteen inches on center each way and features a full-depth expansion joint. Below the concrete slab, a four-inch minimum Class II aggregate base is compacted to ninety-five percent per ASTM D1557. The subgrade is compacted to ninety-five percent per ASTM D1557 with a twelve-inch minimum thickness.
