This pavement section consists of a four-inch layer of Hot Mix Asphalt Class 1/2 inch PG 58-22 at the surface. Beneath the asphalt, a three-inch layer of crushed surfacing top course provides a transition to a six-inch layer of crushed surfacing base course. The entire assembly rests upon a layer of undisturbed or recompacted subgrade.
