An underground PVC water service piping network incorporates a post indicator valve and a fire department connection riser extending above grade. A prepackaged magnesium anode connects to the metallic piping components via cable-to-pipe connections. Two number four AWG high-molecular weight polyethylene bond cables run between the piping joints and the post indicator valve, fire department connection, and nearby ferrous metal fittings. A flush-mounted test station provides access for monitoring, connected via number ten AWG white test and drain cables and number ten AWG black anode cables. All buried, non-welded metallic pipe joints are bonded, and buried bolts and nuts are coated with bitumastic.
