This assembly consists of a cast-in-place concrete trench drain channel set within a pavement section. The channel edges are reinforced with a number 4 nosing bar on each side, adjacent to an expansion joint that separates the drain from the surrounding pavement. The concrete base is reinforced with number 4 bars spaced at 12 inches on center. The trench drain unit and pavement specifications are determined per the project plan, with the subgrade sloped at a 1:1 ratio away from the drain structure.
