A six-inch concrete curb wall extending one foot six inches in total height includes two continuous number four reinforcing bars positioned near the top and bottom. The curb rests on a four-inch layer of crushed rock aggregate conforming to ASTM C-33, number 57, placed over an eight-inch compacted subgrade compacted to ninety-five percent standard maximum density. The top corners of the concrete curb have a tooled edge on each side. The finish paved grade abuts one side while the general contractor backfills the opposite side.
