A concrete sidewalk assembly incorporates a light broomed finish over a thickened edge slab. Contraction joints are provided in the sidewalk only, while a three-eighths inch expansion joint with premolded filler runs through both the curb and sidewalk. The overall width varies as sized per plan and landscape drawings. Joint locations are coordinated with architectural and landscape plans, which control final placement. A separate mock-up including an expansion joint with joint sealant and score line is required prior to installation.
