A typical cast-in-place concrete stair rests on a compacted stone base with an eight-inch structural wall. The concrete slab features a thickness of six inches with three inches of clear cover, reinforced with number four bars at twelve inches on center each way and a continuous number four bar. Each tread includes one number three nosing bar and a one-inch nosing projection, with tread and riser dimensions coordinated per civil drawings.
