The pavement section consists of a four-inch layer of asphalt concrete surfacing placed directly over a nine-inch aggregate base course. Below the base course lies a ten-inch granular subbase supported by properly prepared fills, suitable stabilized natural subgrade soils, and structural site grading fill extending to suitable stable natural subgrade soils.
