A steel post is embedded into a twelve-inch diameter concrete footing with a minimum depth of three feet. The sign is centered on the post, with a seven-foot clearance height maintained for standard signs, excluding specific R7-8 and R7-8P models. The top of the concrete footing is sloped to provide drainage in landscape areas and is held below the finished grade in sidewalk pavement areas.
