A structural steel girder seat is anchored to a precast concrete panel joint using a half-inch embed plate with six three-quarter-inch ASTM F1554 anchors on each side of the joint, where nuts are tack-welded on the back of the embed. A three-quarter-inch plate featuring horizontally slotted holes matches the anchor bolts, and nuts are installed on the bolts with marred threads. A one-by-thirteen-inch bearing plate and three three-eighths-inch stiffener plates support the girder seat channel ledger, with splices omitted from view. A five-sixteenths-by-five-by-eight-inch tie plate ties the assembly together, secured with quarter-inch and five-sixteenths fillet welds.
