A vertical pre-fabricated geocomposite drainage board is applied to the exterior of the soldier pile wall, beginning six inches below finish grade. A four-inch solid wall drain pipe runs between each soldier pile, connecting to a wall drain grate. Below the slab on grade, a vapor barrier sits over a four-inch capillary break layer, which rests on gravel backfill for drains. A four-inch slotted drain pipe sloped at zero-point-five percent minimum is embedded within a gravel-filled trench wrapped in geotextile fabric with twelve-inch minimum laps.
