A hollow metal door frame connects to a double-stud partition wall lined with gypsum board and batt insulation. The frame features a variable soffit and a rabbet sized per schedule, maintaining a one-inch minimum clearance. Gypsum board terminates against the frame with a half-inch offset as required.
