An integral concrete curb and sidewalk bears on a four-inch compacted depth crushed surfacing top course compacted to ninety-five percent maximum density over a prepared subgrade. The four-inch concrete walk features a light broomed finish and a six-inch wide curb profile with one-half inch tooled edges typical. Reinforcing includes number four rebar placed within the curb section. A control joint one-half inch deep is installed along with a three-eighths inch thick expansion joint every other joint, set above adjacent pavement.
