A temporary basin outlet protection assembly consists of a high-density polyethylene or corrugated metal pipe riser with a diameter equal to the existing pipe plus eighteen inches, surrounded by a two-inch free draining gravel bed. An outlet pipe connects to the drainage system, with the end buried six inches into the ground. The standpipe features a high water mark and an optional perforated configuration wrapped in filter fabric to allow flow through for a partially filled basin.
