An ABT XHD-12 or approved equal twelve-inch inside-diameter trench drain is set into a concrete encasement measuring thirty inches in height and five feet in width, flanked by portland cement concrete pavement P-501 and portland cement concrete P-610. The encasement features continuous number six reinforcing bars spaced at twelve inches on center maximum, along with number four reinforcing bars spaced at eighteen inches on center, maintaining three inches of clear cover on the sides and bottom and six inches at the top. The assembly rests on a ten and a half-inch subbase course P-154 above an eight-inch subgrade material scarified and recompacted to ninety-five percent relative compaction P-152.
