A stabilized construction entrance transitions from an existing pavement or approved access point using a layer of crushed aggregate sized between three and six inches over a separation fabric. The aggregate pad requires minimum dimensions of twenty feet in width by fifty feet in length with a minimum thickness of twelve inches. A culvert drain sized as required to pass flow runs beneath the entrance, featuring a twenty-five foot radius minimum at the flared transition. A note specifies that twenty-four feet minimum of corrugated steel plates may be used in construction entrance per California BMP detail TC-1 if sediment is being conveyed to adjacent roads.
