The assembly consists of a five-and-a-half-inch thick Portland cement concrete surface layer, which increases to six-and-a-half inches thick at dumpster enclosure areas. This concrete slab bears directly on a four-inch thick aggregate base course. The base course is supported by properly prepared natural subgrade soils or structural site grading fill extending down to suitable natural soils.
