This medium duty asphalt pavement section consists of three inches of compacted depth Class 1/2-inch hot mix asphalt (HMA PG 58H-22) installed in two lifts and compacted to ninety-two percent of Rice value. The surface course sits upon six inches of compacted depth crushed surfacing top course, compacted to ninety-five percent maximum density in accordance with ASTM D 1557. The base rests on a prepared subgrade with the upper twelve inches compacted to ninety-five percent maximum density as measured in accordance with ASTM D 1557. Geotextile requirements at track paving are detailed on sheet L-414, and all pavement sections must comply with the geotechnical report prepared by Migizi Group, Inc. under project number Z0712.
