A bioretention area is positioned adjacent to a concrete curb and property line fence. Native material is compacted behind the curb before removing sections for the bioretention basin, which features a variable width per plan and a 2-inch drop from the curb cut to finish grade. The side slopes are graded at a maximum 3:1 ratio with an 8-inch minimum depth. A cast-in-place concrete key is provided beneath the curb where it meets the bioretention area, alongside designated curb cuts.
