A concrete sidewalk edge is thickened to a minimum of 8 inches adjacent to a 6-inch parking pavement section. The building frontage sidewalk is dimensioned per architectural plans. A 6-inch horizontal dimension establishes the toe width of the thickened concrete edge against the adjacent subbase and paving.
