A Visqueen polyethylene cover fully encapsulates the stockpile, secured by sandbags placed typically across the surface. On dirt, the perimeter of the filter fabric is staked directly into the ground to prevent sediment runoff. On asphalt pavement, the Visqueen is placed underneath the stockpile and wrapped over the top to ensure complete containment. This assembly provides a standard method for managing temporary soil storage to comply with erosion and sediment control requirements.
