Nonmetallic pipe elbows and ferrous metal fittings are wrapped in eight-mil polyethylene encasement and connected with two number four AWG HMWPE bond cables. A prepackaged magnesium anode connects to the fitting assembly via a number ten AWG THHN black anode cable. Buried bolts and nuts are coated with bitumastic, and bell restraints and mechanical joint restraints are applied per general notes. Bond cables are sized with sufficient length to accommodate soil contraction and pipe movement.
